During a press conference held on October 15 in Beijing, it was announced that the third Hong Kong International Cultural and Creative Industries Expo (HKCCIE) is set to take place from May 30 to June 2, 2025, at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong.
The upcoming expo will see an expanded exhibition area of 50,000 square meters, featuring eight major themed pavilions, including the Comprehensive Cultural Industry Pavilion, the Cultural Tourism and Performing Arts Pavilion, the Digital Creativity Pavilion, the Art Boutique Pavilion, the International Pavilion, the Guest Province Pavilion, the Intangible Cultural Heritage Pavilion, and the Trendy Cultural Products Pavilion. The HKCCIE aims to facilitate on-site engagement and transactions through a variety of activities, such as industry forums, cultural tourism promotions, and art exhibitions. Currently, the organizing committee has formally extended invitations, encouraging more businesses, organizations, teams, and artists to sign up for participation.
Henry Ho, Chairman of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, delivered a virtual address expressing his strong interest and anticipation for the third HKCCIE. He noted that the expo serves as a comprehensive platform for exchange and display within Hong Kong’s cultural and artistic community. He emphasized its role as a window for showcasing Chinese culture and the creative industries, while also acting as an engine for advancing Hong Kong’s cultural and artistic development.
Guo Liqun, Executive Vice President of the China Foreign Cultural Group, commented on the expo’s goal to enrich its exhibition content and broaden the industrial chain. He highlighted Hong Kong’s unique geographical advantages and role as a hub for cultural exchange between China and the rest of the world, aiming to showcase the diverse appeal and innovative vitality of both domestic and international cultural industries. The China Foreign Art Exhibition Co., a subsidiary of the China Foreign Cultural Group, will continue as a co-organizer for the HKCCIE, leveraging its expertise and capabilities as a leading force in art exhibitions and international cultural exchange to elevate the quality and innovation of the event, as well as expanding its international reach and cultural depth.
Leung Tin-fu, Chairman of the HKCCIE organizing committee, stated that the core mission of this year’s expo is to “create a platform for Chinese culture to go global.” He expressed hopes that this initiative would provide a collaborative opportunity for cultural professionals from around the world, enabling partners across various industries to explore new pathways for cultural outreach and allowing Chinese culture to shine on the global stage.
Representatives from multiple companies participated in on-site signing agreements regarding collaborations for the HKCCIE, covering areas such as international communication strategies, partnerships with Taiwan, thematic forum collaborations, and international art exhibitions.
