Traveling to Jianou in Fujian, visitors can choose from over 1,100 themed cultural activities designed to offer a glimpse into “Min-style living.” A standout attraction is the national-level intangible cultural heritage performance known as “Jianou Flag Twirling,” where performers expertly handle a 10-meter-long flag with one hand and their shoulders, mesmerizing the audience with their skill.
In Jiangsu, the region is rolling out 629 initiatives aimed at enhancing public enjoyment, including extended museum hours and discounts on cultural tourism vouchers. The Nanjing Museum is a highlight, where ancient artifacts emanate a sense of mystery amidst the lively crowds that enrich the experience.
Over in Changxing, Zhejiang, the National Day holiday kicked off with a remarkable concert featuring a chorus of 60,000 voices, singing patriotic songs like “I Love You, China” and “Sing for Our Motherland,” in celebration of the 75th anniversary of New China’s founding.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism is actively working to expand the range of cultural and tourism experiences available during the National Day holiday, organizing nearly a thousand themed events focused on intangible cultural heritage through exhibitions and hands-on activities.
