On the evening of October 11, a significant event titled “Further Comprehensive Reform to Explore Innovative Development Paths – High-Quality Development of Specialized Art Education” kicked off with an opening ceremony and symphonic concert at Shenyang Conservatory of Music.

He emphasized the aim of the event to promote the spirit of traditional art schools, continue the legacy of revolutionary ideals, pursue high-quality development, and nurture talented individuals in music and dance who are virtuous and skilled, ultimately contributing to the comprehensive revitalization of Liaoning.

Tian Yan, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Dean of the Conservatory, who hosted the ceremony, called for a collaborative effort among leaders and guests to discuss the continuity of artistic traditions, educational reforms, and deeper cultural system reforms that would foster high-quality higher education in the arts for a new breakthrough in Liaoning’s revitalization efforts.

The concert featured performances by the Northern Symphony Orchestra and the Northern Youth Choir, directed by renowned conductor Shao En. The program included classic pieces such as the first movement of the large symphonic suite “My Motherland,” the suona concerto “Centenary Nirvana,” the piece “Tomorrow” for piano and orchestra, and the fourth movement of Tchaikovsky’s “Fifth Symphony.”

This year marks the 85th anniversary of the premiere of “Yellow River Cantata,” composed by the people’s musician Xian Xinghai. The schedule includes two high-level artistic performances, two academic forums, six academic lectures, and one teaching practice concert, all aimed at significantly promoting the quality development of higher art education and thriving cultural endeavors, thereby contributing further to Liaoning’s revitalization.
