Li Hongshuang, former deputy secretary and vice chairman of the Party Committee of Jinneng Holding Group Co., Ltd., was expelled from the party

On October 18, reports from the Shanxi Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision revealed that, with the approval of the Shanxi Provincial Party Committee, an investigation has been initiated into Li Hongshuang, the former Deputy Secretary and Vice Chairman of Jin Energy Holding Group Co., Ltd., for serious violations of discipline and law.

The investigation revealed that Li Hongshuang had lost his ideals and convictions, straying from his original mission and failing to demonstrate loyalty and honesty to the party, even resisting organizational scrutiny. He disregarded the spirit of the Central Party’s Eight Regulations by accepting gifts and money. His awareness of organizational discipline was weak; he failed to report personal matters as required and sought illicit benefits for others concerning personnel adjustments. Li also neglected the integrity standards expected of him, engaging in unauthorized borrowing from management service clients for large returns and improperly holding shares in unlisted companies. Furthermore, he did not fulfill his responsibilities correctly, taking a primary leadership role in the improper restructuring of the Shanxi Coal Group General Hospital.

His misconduct included trading power for money, exploiting his position to secure benefits for others in project contracts and coal sales, and illegally accepting significant amounts of wealth. Li’s actions constituted severe violations of the party’s political, organizational, ethical, and work disciplines, which not only represent serious job-related offenses but also suggest involvement in bribery. His behavior persisted unchecked after the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party, reflecting the serious nature of his transgressions and their negative impact, warranting strict punishment.

In accordance with the “Regulations on Party Disciplinary Actions,” the “Supervision Law of the People’s Republic of China,” and the “Administrative Sanctions Law for Public Officials,” the Standing Committee of the Shanxi Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection deliberated on the case and, with the approval of the Provincial Party Committee, has decided to expel Li Hongshuang from the Party, revoke his privileges, confiscate his illicit gains, and refer his criminal activities to the prosecuting authorities for legal review and prosecution, along with all related assets.
