Shooting at El Monte sports bar in Los Angeles County leaves at least 1 dead and 1 injured

On October 12th, a shooting incident occurred at a bar in El Monte, California, resulting in one death and at least one injury.

Authorities from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported receiving a call about the shooting early that morning. They promptly arrived at a sports-themed bar located on Lower Azusa Road, where they found a male victim lying on the floor with multiple gunshot wounds. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene, though his identity has not yet been released.

Following their investigation, officials confirmed that a female victim was also injured in the shooting and had been transported to a hospital before police arrived. Her condition is reported to be stable. Witnesses mentioned that there was a third female shooting victim who left the scene before law enforcement could get there, and investigators are currently seeking her out.

Local news outlets have identified the bar where the shooting took place as the Silver Dollar Saloon. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and the shooter is still at large.
