On October 11, a special program titled “Glorious Light Over Mountains and Rivers” was jointly produced by the National University of Elderly Studies and the China Global Television Network (CGTN). This show aired on channels CCTV-1, CCTV-3, CCTV-15, and the CGTN video platform.
This special program draws on traditional cultural customs and the virtues of filial piety that are significant during the Double Ninth Festival. It is structured around four main themes: “Joy of Double Ninth,” “Emotions of Double Ninth,” “Rhythms of Double Ninth,” and “Aspiration of Double Ninth.” Featuring performances from students of the National University of Elderly Studies, the segments titled “Flowers Bloom in Farewell,” “Sunset Red,” “Long-lasting,” and “Map of Mountains and Rivers” highlight the vibrant spirit of modern seniors embracing learning and joy, embodying the educational achievements of the university.
Among the highlights, Dai Jingang, a special guest from the university’s Institute of Proactive Health, performed a creative dance called “Eight Brocade Street Dance,” showcasing innovative artistic expressions while promoting a proactive health philosophy.
The National University of Elderly Studies plans to continue offering high-quality courses and branded activities aimed at fostering virtues, lifelong learning, proactive health, enjoyment of life, and active engagement among seniors, thereby addressing their diverse learning needs.
