In a bold move to transform the aviation sector in Nigeria, the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority is organizing the South West Regional Air Transportation Summit. This pivotal event is designed to bring stakeholders together for discussions aimed at enhancing the financial capability and economic viability of the aviation industry.
The main goal of the Summit is to pivot the industry’s focus towards economic sustainability by revisiting and refining existing policies. Additionally, the conference will address crucial areas like reinforcing safety and security in air travel.
The theme for this exciting gathering is “Repositioning the Nigerian Aviation Industry for Financial Capability and Economic Viability: An Inclusive Regulatory Dialogue.” Set for October 9, 2024, the one-day summit will kick off at 9:00 AM at the Radisson Hotel on Victoria Island in Lagos.
A distinguished roster of industry leaders will take the stage, sharing their extensive expertise to chart a new course for aviation in Nigeria. Among them, three keynote speakers will deliver key presentations, including Dr. Jekwu Ozoemene (FCIB), who will present the main paper on “Sustainable Growth in the Nigerian Civil Aviation and Air Transportation Sector: Regulatory Imperatives.”
